Hey, guys! Happy Thanksgiving! I've just returned from seeing Zootopia 2 in theaters after having Thanksgiving with my Mom, Dad, and younger sister. We all went to see the movie together. And it was very fantastic.
Now, I'm sure that for people who have been following Super Animal Squadron, I'm sure you are wondering how I'm going to place the world of Zootopia into Super Animal Squadron.
For starters, although it has been nine real-life years since the first movie came out, it appears that the events of Zootopia 2 take place about a week after the first movie, since this movie treats Judy and Nick's partnership as being recent. So, where do these movies take place in the Super Animal Squadron timeline?
For beginners, you may know that Super Animal Squadron takes place within the same universe as Sly Cooper, TUFF Puppy, Sing, and the Bad Guys, and TUFFAgentShepherd has also brought Robin Hood and Kung Fu Panda in his Chronoman series, fitting as that series is themed around time travel and both of those movies are sent in different centuries as the series I have just mentioned. So, where does Zootopia fit in all this?
I think that the Zootopia movies are set at some point before even the first season of TUFF Puppy came out. The reason I think this is because the first Zootopia movie mentioned that there had never been a rabbit police officer, but we do see a rabbit as one of the guards in Petropolis Prison as early as The Doom-mates, which was episode 2, so I think it makes sense that Zootopia takes place this early in the timeline.
Also, the plot of both movies, regarding the difference between different species, with the first movie's plot based on predators going savage and Nick and Judy working to find out the case, and then this new movie has them working to help reptiles back into the city. I won't reveal the villain(s) or any plot twists for anyone who hasn't seen it, but it had me thinking about the plot of Freedom Squadron: Liberanger Returns. I think this could be the next step to what Zootopia has been proving, so you guys may just see some Zootopia characters appear in that series when I bring it out next year.
Anyway, I'm working on the next few chapters of Interpolger Vs. Thieveranger, and then after that, I can get to work on the next Super Animal Squadron series. Speaking of which, you guys on DeviantArt will get to see the new team on Sunday.
