May your creative journey continue to take you to the highest of valleys and get you through the lowest of ruts. I think as someone who is aware of the relationship between artist and art (who makes who?) and my role as a consumer of said art from said artist, I just want to validate and perhaps alleviate concerns over the way you handle & produce your art in relation to your audience. Personally, whenever you release something, be it happy or sad, I just want it to come out of that creative journey for your own reasons. And sometimes that same creative journey is what drives us to not make something, and that’s ok too. Your reasons are your own, and that’s what makes your art YOURS. I think ultimately that’s what, at least for me, is the appeal of artists. So you making music = awesome. But also, when you don’t make music and are merely being human, that’s pretty awesome too. You don’t stop at the music you make, and the fact that we are even allowed into these intimate conversations that artists have with themselves is a privilege. We should ultimately just be rooting for y’all, and we are :)
