I get why people are disappointed, but people saying it’s ruined Cole’s whole legacy and they’ve lost all respect for Cole is so dumb. Like if you was a true fan one weak diss and apology wouldn’t undo a decades worth of material you supposedly enjoy. I get Cole’s been gassing himself up and acting like he could take anyone in a beef recently, but let’s not forget he’s been such a humble and nice guy throughout his whole career as well. Cole’s ‘fans’ are forgetting that.

Should've never responded. Drake and Kendrick have real beef which Cole and Kendrick do not have. Releasing Might Delete Later without his 7 minute drill song would have did more than enough. There is no real beef between kdot or cole so there was never going to be a lengthy diss battle between them anyway. Cole saying he is the best right now would be correct because no other rapper is rapping like him while killing and outperforming many rappers in this current 2020s decade. Boldy James, Nas, and Black Thought are the only ones that have a case for best rapper of the 2020s so far. So if Cole wants to say he is the best he can say that seeing how no one is matching his pen right now

Im split. I respect Cole's decision to apologize and i do think if he really doesn't wanna be involved in this beef then we should respect his decision. But also he never had to release the diss.

I think people getting this invested over fake rap beef says more about the average listener than any of the men involved in the beef. The era of dissing and beef has been dying for a long time and if people cared about art, they would let the change happen naturally. People are too attached to negativity.
