I have been making almost this exact recipe this fall/winter—the version I have been using is from 1966! The site I found it on (New England Recipes) suggests alternative names for similar recipes in the region were: Molasses Crinkles Ginger Krinkles Krinkly Molasses Cookies Crackle-Top Molasses Cookies Will have to try it with the allspice and nutmeg next. Cosmopolitan Cornbread
The name of these cookies might seem a bit contradictory, but it perfectly describes these cookies. They are rich in flavor, with molasses and lots of spices. Yummy winter cookies. Get the recipe: cosmopolitancornbread.com/chewy-ginger-snaps/
