People calling it corruption haven’t seen the clip, there was a fake whistle being blown so he grabbed the ball not so far from the middle of the pitch with literally 3 seconds left

Literally 1 sec before the final whistle of the referee you could hear a whistle in the stands… Messi thought it was the whistle of the referee and grabbed the ball… nothing more, just a misunderstanding in the last second of the game while they were leading 3-0. But ofc media will spin it without context and will make headlines of it… so misleading 👎🏼

Imagine if the FIFA reveal after 10 year, that they already buy a Portugese player before world cup so that Ronaldo couldn't win a world cup

Former Chilean referee, Carlos Chandía, has shockingly revealed
that he once spared Lionel Messi a second yellow card in the 2007 Copa América semifinals in order to get his match-worn jersey at the end of the game. 🤯
Had Messi been booked, he would've missed the final, in which Argentina consequently went on to lose 3-0 to Brazil. 💀
Chandia believes his decision with Messi may have cost him the role of referring the final of the competition. 🙃
