Hey folks, I wanted to let you know that the Marshall Bushcraft Knife I’ve been using in my recent videos is back in stock but they’re going fast. Here’s the link. Might still be able to snag one before they’re all gone. www.montanaknifecompany.com/collections/the-marsha…

@mapleknot3

I just feel $350 for 52100 carbon steel is a pretty steep ask. I do like it's made in USA.

I recently took my Marshall with me on a winter bushcraft trip to Montana where I camped for two nights at 8000 feet. I used it to build a shelter with a pine bough bed, collect and process firewood and other camp tasks. It performed extremely well and I highly recommend it to anyone. They are pricey but you are getting a knife that is made in the USA by a fantastic company that stands behind their products 100%.

That's a beautiful knife and I respect that it's USA made. I also believe it is capable of most any tasks you'd encounter in the outdoors. But, calling it a bushcraft knife seems plain incorrect. The handle does not appear to have high affordance for multiple grip orientations. The choil reduces ability to do fine carving work close to the handle. The full flat grind is great for skinning and food prep but not as ideal for carving tasks as a scandi grind, which is possibly the defining feature of a knife in the bushcraft category. The handle shape does not look like it will remain comfortable for hours of knife work at a stretch. Call it the Survivalist - or heck, call it the Bush Bowie, since the category it fits into most aptly is the modern Bowie style of knife.

Do you still have/use the orange & black Marshall? I have the same one - it's an awesome blade...!

@dawnbaker9763

Beautiful knife but in Joe's America, $350 is not doable.

That knife ain’t worth 350 then 75 for the sheath . Hahaha that’s instagram blade steel .

@andrewsock1608

Stupid finger Choil . If the blade was sharpened right to the handle a finger choil wouldn’t be needed. That would also bring it down to a respectable length.
