For decades, Father Hernan Astudillo has been bringing people together at his church San Lorenzo, in North York, Ontario. Forced to flee Ecuador for Toronto, he continues to build the refuge he once sought. “The church should be community. Not institution. Family. Not institution.” says Father Astudillo.
