Which religion, if any, best aligns with science?

@meandgpt

Buddhism teaches that you don't have to believe in the religious aspects to use practices to improve your life and the lives of those around you.

Jainism has taught various methods of compassion towards all organisms which are beneficial for humans as well, for example, boiling water before drinking it, not eating specific foods, microbiological processes, etc. were idealized way before they were discovered to be beneficial by science.

The history of science shows that the Catholic Church has perennially viewed science as a noble and worthy endeavor and has promoted scientific study. The Church supported scientific education both institutionally and through financial backing. This institutional support and the crucial conceptual outlooks outlined above were directly involved in the advent of modern science as we know it today.

A lot of mathematics and precursors to chemistry were studied in the period of classical Islam. During that time Europe was a bit more focused on warring antipopes and defining heresy. Mongols destroying the library at Baghdad kind of marked the beginning of the end for that period though. Really, most faiths can roughly co-exist with reason, because in general faith is a result of trying to figure out social rules and how the universe works and tell stories we find useful or important (we had very poor means of measurement for most of human history). Where we see conflict is when religious leaders of any faith instruct their followers to close their eyes and shut their ears to evidence.

I'd say spiritism, umbanda or candomblé. But actually none of them.

The first scientists in this world were actually Christian monks that were trying to find evidence of God in creation. They built the foundations of thought and approach science uses today. Science itself means the ongoing study of life and the universe. Current "science" has lost it's way by losing grasp of the ongoing part and often being illogical and inconsistent. A lot of people everywhere and in many walks of life today mistake feelings for thinking, and following directions as intelligence.

@tracybowling1156

I can't answer that because I don't understand enough about any religion to have any educated answer/opinion. And that is 100% my own fault.

I don't know enough about Judaism to determine if the practices align with scientific inquiry just that Ashkenazi Jews generally have high IQs.
