As a band we feel particularly connected to this music video, we knew from the outset exactly what we wanted the video to be for ‘friends’ and where we wanted to film it.
The video is set in our hometown in macclesfield, and the locations all have strong ties to memories of ours whilst growing up. It was class to finally have an excuse to film a video here. It feels like we are giving a deeper and truer insight into ourselves which ultimately is the most rewarding thing about making and releasing music. When you make stuff that represents yourself and people truly identify with it 🤌🏼
We’d literally kick about, playing footy in the alley ways and parks when we’re 12-13 exactly where we shot the first scenes of the video. And, towards the end, by the fields is where I’d go up in my car at night when I was first making music on my laptop. I had no idea what i was doing so to be in the exact same place all these years later filming a music video for a song that’s now already been listened so many times is a truly crazy feeling.
