What is humanity's greatest accomplishment?

@iClone101

Not specifically the moon landing, but the ability to send a human beyond the boundaries of our atmosphere and have them return alive is a tremendous achievement.

Somehow giving humans an attention span of less than a goldfish Ragebait successful

Humanity's greatest accomplishment is the internet. The world is so interconnected because of it

The large Haddon collider is an example of how far we've come technologically, so I'd say it's more impressive than the other 3

We haven’t even really made a REAL AI yet. The stuff we have now is just some algorithms that pull stuff from a database

Guys, let's be honest here, we ain't got no damn AI here, it's barely a sophisticated algorithm that we were sold as an AI. We are decades away from a real AI and yall know it.

I’m putting Pyramids down just to show my defiance to the idiocy of the theory that only aliens could have made them.

I’d say computers for sure, I mean it’s crazy how we went from some trees to like gaming pcs

Humans went from smashing rocks together to smashing particles together, and I think that's pretty impressive

Getting a human to the moon before GTG 1 is crazy

Wow some people really don't understand how impressive it is that we have a machine dedicated to smashing particles together for science. That's like- playing God with the legos that make up the universe.

Every single one of these had an impact on what came later. If we didn't know how Particle Accelerators worked we wouldn't have gotten missions to the Moon. Many of tech and ambition that came from the Moon Landing led to the formation of LHC. Construction of Pyramids revealed a lot about 3D structures and the Mathematics behind them which helped the Prior 2 and expanded us into the region of Differential Geometry and Tensors, which has a huge role in AI. So to say which one of these is the greatest accomplishment is undermining what they all gaves us.

Even Mario cart on super Nintendo had AI come on people

Pyramids were basically tons of slavery and patience, all for a religion, completely useless. AI isn’t at a stage where it can really be considered a greatest accomplishment, once it rivals consciousness, that’s when I’d consider it our greatest. The Large Hadron Collider is definitely one of our greatest accomplishments. Both the physical structure, what it can do, and what we can read off of it is amazing. Space exploration is by far our greatest achievement. We have sent things into orbit, out of the solar system, and onto other planets, and we can control them. We’ve put humans and animals into giant bombs, sent them off of our planet and brought most of them back alive. We’ve sent 6 groups of humans to the moon, 5 of them landed on it and came home, and the other exploded mid flight and managed to get back home with everyone alive. Apollo 13 was more impressive than Apollo 11 imo, but I think those are still behind one thing; the ISS. The International Space Station is ridiculously impressive when you think about it. First off it’s international, requiring governments of different nations, some hating each other and wanting them dead, to come together, build the station, and work together to keep it running. Second is how we managed to build it, ranging from ensuring compatibility between different manufacturers, to getting it up there and put together. Third is that it’s technically constantly falling towards earth, trying to turn itself into a fiery ball of molten mass, yet we make sure it’ll stay up high enough to not do that. Fourth is that we have people constantly going up and down from it like it’s no big deal. There’s been about 250 unique people up there, some flying 4 or 5 separate times, and several being tourists. Think about how ridiculous that is, that many people leaving the earth to go float around in a bunch of tubes, and knowing that they can get back safely. October 31st, 2000 marks the day that all humans were together on Earth, ever since then at least one person has been up in the ISS. Just think about that, we can say that we’ve done that.
