Here in southern Oregon Douglas county to be exact I’ve found a handful of cool locals that hang out and chat every night. But during the day all my log trucking buds are on ch 17 all day everyday! Hundreds of us. All the mills have a channel all the haul roads are on a channel all the loggers load on a channel. I’m on my radio 14 hours a day talking to somebody! And hauling logs I’m always on top of a mountain somewhere for some great SSB long distance action! Sitting in my Peterbilt talking to someone across the pond is absolutely amazing to me!! This is an addictive hobby! 🤷♂️

When I first got on the radio about 15 years ago, I was surprised how many people still talked on the radio. There's got to be around 60 people that regularly talk on the radio. Long Island and The 5 Boro's

Back in the 70s there was a few hundred in a 60 mile radius here but now it’s probably closer to 25.

No locals around here that talk on a regular basis. There are a few in the area but they rarely come on.

Northeast Florida here... We have a healthy interest here, and it's building... We are playing radio and gifting and trading with newcomers whenever the opportunity arises... It's been nice...

I happen to live inbetween 3 local groups, each of around 10 people, so I'm lucky to have a pretty healthy CB area

I hear quite a few out of Northwest Arkansas. They are all real close bout 30-40 miles from me. I'm in Southwest Missouri. I can talk but they tell me im just about at the noise floor on thier end.

Depends on the time of day. Here in Pittsburgh, during the day the channels are loaded with dump truck drivers. After 5pm, the channels are pretty much empty.

I was told that many of the local Seattle area CB radio people got old and died. ☹
