Nadav Art and Wood

While working on the detailing module from my video course several months ago, I found it quite challenging to comfortably hold the sloyd knife using only the tip, just like a pencil.

Wanting to make it as accessible and convenient as possible for anyone who watches the course, I looked for a quick, simple solution.

I used tape, first with the sticky side facing me, wrapping the blade and the top of the handle, exposing just the tip. Then, for comfort, I added some old sponge and finally wrapped it again with tape, this time closing and covering the sponge and any other sticky surfaces.

This small tool is so easy to make and makes the small sloyd knife much more suitable for detailing.

Honestly, I myself never used it before making this module. This is a small example showing the power of trying to teach someone else—dissecting your own craft, putting in the time and effort to make it simpler and more accessible, and just like that, your own technique and creative tools expand and develop.

I learned so much from making this course, and I truly appreciate this opportunity to dive into my own creative habits—asking how I can make them better.

All of this was possible thanks to those who joined the course and showed interest.
So I hope you enjoy it until now, and I thank you for giving me this chance to teach and learn at the same time☺️🙏🏾
