Despite being a huge book nerd, I don't actually mind this change. I was still pretty shocked and had an immense feel of dread for whats about to come. Also, as a neurodivergent person myself I find the portrayal of Haelenas shock quite realistic and it kinda hammered home to how I feel whenever I hear very bad news. The only thing that was uncessary was Alicent having fun times with Cole.
