They also need to cut the salaries of all in Congress and the Senate. We now owe $38 TRILLION.

Need the government to really weed out the people who don’t deserve it. Some people really need it and some just feeding off the system because of ease and laziness

To some people are very important. I believe that not everyone understands the value of something with nutritional.

The benefits are so generous that people who rely on assistance now appear to enjoy a higher standard of living than low income workers who choose to bust their ass every day. Unacceptable.

My opinions changed when I saw people posting on social media that their food stamps (that they had been getting for 10-20 years) was reduced from $4,000 a month and they'd have to start kicking in their own money. My opinion galvanized when I saw one of the posts where this woman was doing a happy dance and chanting "I gots my food stamps. I gots my food stamps". The grift and entitlement are real.

The country can no longer sustain the massive freeloading that also takes from the people who really need the help the truly disabled and the elderly.

Cut eligibility, the funds were fine. The problem with welfare in this country is that almost anyone below middle class can get on it and once on it is extremely easy to stay on.

Welfare was meant to be a hand up not a handout time to kick off all the lifetime deadbeats off welfare

It's been abused way too long. It's meant for people that CANT work or are in between jobs, not for people that just don't feel like working.

Cut it all, cut tax breaks for the rich, cut it for the poor cut it for everyone and everything and let the free market decide what’s important or not. Sink or swim. I know I can survive on next to nothing, I bet the politicians can’t and the rich ceos surely cannot survive being taxed like us poors

If you're disabled or elderly, perhaps you should have some support since the disadvantage is real. However, able-bodied folks need to get out and work.. otherwise, where is my free gift bag?

It’s really facisnating that people are crying about the people when it’s the policies behind food stamps that’s the issue. In order to get any form of welfare, you have to work. So everyone talking about lazy “people” now youre just fighting for no one. Youre just making it harder for an already hard to get benefits system. It’s the system that’s broken people not the people!!! Learn to read!
