This song has lived with me for a while now… long before I knew it would ever be released. I started writing Blessings right after I found out one of my close friends had passed away. It was one of those moments that shakes your entire understanding of life, how someone so full of energy, laughter, possibility can be here one minute and gone the next. It put so much into perspective for me. Our time here is frighteningly fleeting, no matter how alive we feel.
Blessings became my way of holding on to the light. It reminded me that even in the darkest moments, there are things worth anchoring yourself to the people you love, the moments that make you pause, the chances to show gratitude before everything changes.
This song is for anyone who’s ever had to put one foot in front of the other when life felt too heavy. For the people who are trying their best to stay hopeful. For the ones who’ve lost someone and had to reshape themselves around that absence. For the people choosing softness even when the world has hardened them.
It’s a reminder to count what’s real, to breathe deeper, to stay present, and to not take a single moment for granted.
Thank you to everyone who played a part in bringing this song to life and getting it over the line so I’m deeply grateful to you all. 🪽
