I'm not afraid of falling, I'm afraid of my pleasant zero-g fall being interrupted by the Earth.

Should definitely rebrand this as fear of a hard landing after a swift descent!

Hi Sir Magnus. May I ask a question? Though this is not related to your post here. I am new in climbing and been trying it out for 3 months now. Tonight I had another climbing session but I notice that my fist or fingers can not be close properly. Like it is hard to make a fist or I am having difficulty to hold something in my hand. Is my finger just overworked? And only needs to rest of i should be alarmed and go to hospital right away?

I started my climbing by soloing and did an 8m ascent as a pb. Calmed down after realizing that the ground starts to look dangerously hard at 4meters or so. The thing is I hate humans and having to go to a class with other people more than I'm afraid of climbing solo. I've no idea how people go out and meet others
