He doesn't even play video games but Matt Walsh feels he has the authority to discuss them.

Walsh is a hipster and a contrarian. It's okay to not like video games, it's not a hobby that everyone will enjoy, but to write them off as trivial and redundant is why conservatives frequently lose in the culture war.

Matt Walsh was definitely bullied in high school so he just says whatever he thinks people want to hear. “Beer, sports! I’m so cool! Books are for dweebs”

For as much as he despises lefties he acts like a smug leftist when it comes to the topic of video games.

If people would stop watching and acknowledging him whenever he brings up anime, video games, movie or whatever he would stop. I wish people would stop feeding into him and just like ever other person who seems to have a dumb take a month for some reason just leave it.

Walsh's opinions in a nutshell: "If I don't like something, then no one else should either, because it's dumb!"

He just says these things to stay relevant and in the news circles. Keep his name out there.

The human (I'll never call anyone afraid of chihuahuas, a man) who thinks border collies are alligators....

I mean his hobbies are the banjo and beekeeping. Mine are video games artwork and drumming.

I've un-subscribed from the dailywire because of their refusal to acknowledge the legitimacy of gaming. They won't get any of my views whilst simultaneously infantilizing gamers as though we're "adults who never grew up". Gaming exists solely because of the adults who've turned the computer sciences into a career. The dailywire's takes on gaming is egregious at best and moronic at its worst.

If there's a video game series that would convert him it would be the Metal Gear Solid series.

I mean if I played video games all day and didn’t try to better myself also and do other things in life i could see why video games would be a vice. Even when I was unemployed I played games in order to socialize with other people. I was also working out and getting in better shape. I eventually became employed and now games take up less of my time. If I was married and had kids it would probably be less time. It’s not like you can’t have balance.
