Love my leather soled boots. I have two pair of elastic sided horse riding boots with leather soles. I've had them well over 35 years. I don't wear them much anymore because I keep them as good shoes/boots. But I love them. One pair the elastic is on its way out and will need replacing very soon. Looking forward to getting the elastic replaced and they will look as good as new. I recently purchased a pair of sturdy high heels with leather soles for those times boots just won't work, broke them in and looking forward to many years of wear. Just can't beat them

When I was 20, I bought a pair of all leather, goodyear welted penney loafers from KINNEY SHOES!!! I still wear them!

They do, but most people don't like the price of them when you want them made the old way.

Very true but I think the owner takes very well care of his shoes too. Concrete is what will tear through your soles quickly and I’d assume this person avoids concrete and may work in an environment that doesn’t have it either or may only casually use them

Oliver The Shoe Man
“They Don’t Make Them Like They Used To”. This client bought these shoes brand new off the shelf. The date codes on the inside indicate they were made sometime between 1983-1993 making these shoes at least 30-40 years old! They came into the shop for new rubber heels because the soles are still solid. These shoes are the very definition of the old saying, “They Don’t Make Them Like They Used To”.
