Infinite Cringe

I feel like my skill has plateaued lately, so I've been playing around with Custom Difficulty Tweaks to force myself to get better. The other night I killed a Lesser Dragon at the tower before going to bed. Next morning I hop back on and get jumpscared by a Drake spawning behind me. I feel like I'm finally improving again and learning new things. Only through challenging yourself can you realise what you're capable of. If I didn't have access to mods, then I'd definitely be using weak equipment to get the same difficulty increasing experience. this is a weirdly yappy post anyway i want to marry fighter

I agree with this sentiment. I always like challenging myself in video games. People think I'm crazy. But to me, it only proves how good I actually am should I overcome these challenges.

Custom difficulty tweaks, improved shortcuts and wild loot make the game a fantastic experience!

The fact of having experience and noticing that you can go further denotes the depth of the combat system of this game, i love DD Dark Arisen and DD2

Giving yourself gameplay limitations/challenges is such a fun way to get fresh enjoyment from a game. Like an unarmed build in Skyrim or a passifist run in baldur's gate. It can also serve as a unique roleplaying device. it's fun to see you experiment with the game

@WankleDankle

Could always do an honour mode run in Baldurs gate 3 with Morgana. Honour mode works for me

Fighters the goat like always, my first run was solo, no pawns fighter only and it was genuinely the peakest the game got for me, mods will make this feeling come back though surely

I'm so desperate for an update that I'd be willing to settle for only a hard mode at this point, Capcom...

Just got into modding DD2 and am having a lot of fun on a fresh playthrough. I've adjusted numbers to mostly match normal damage against small enemies, but the big bosses take half damage to give me that epic fight feel. It's a nice balance and since I don't have anything overpowered in my party yet, danger lurks around every moment. A basic minotaur took me two tries and almost 9 hours in game to kill as an archer. Felt good to loot that one afterwards.

I've said it in the past a few times, but turn off the stat gain per level after a few levels (i did it at like lvl 15). If that is still not possible, then make everything only give 1XP so you lvl up really slowly. Only then is your gear truly the most impactful part of your build. People underestimate how broken the stat gain per level is.
