Words like "national security" and "US interests" are blanket excuses to justify anything they do, and supreme narrative control to serve as "cut off" for criticism... The "right side of history"-narrative framing runs strongly in those easily- deceived. Both inside the USA, as well as those within the reach of the Anglosaxon version of events.... Reality? The USA has never been on the "right side of history", but rather always used imperialism, aided by a geographical advantage of power ("might makes right") to achieve goals.
