Sorry, there's no April Fool's Day joke this year. I have nothing funny planned for it.
I want to apologize for the lack of animations, and content in general. Even the filler videos. I've been drained creatively (and mentally).
It's been harder to justify starting large animation projects without money coming in. Jobs are incredibly sparse and even the ones I've applied fall through in the end.
I know I promoted my Patreon and Ko-Fi some time ago, but after dealing with some shit I ended up distancing myself from the internet by closing several social media accounts, including those two.
I have ideas, but it's all mixed in terms of quality.
I COULD make more Bluey fan shorts, but the ideas I have are kinda lame. Plus, I'm kind of tired of Bluey as of now. I COULD make more 101DS art, but I only do that because I don't know what to make (and I fw the designs). And I COULD work on my original stuff like Jack, but I know 90% don't care at all about that stuff and that will bomb terribly.
I'm limited in my options, but it boils down to (Banger video = Some revenue = more, better videos = more revenue = etc.). I know that kind of thing is rare these days, but I still think is possible. I want to make whatever I want. I can make whatever I want. Views don't matter (too much) to me because I know a good number of people vibe with what I make (I vibe with you, too). It's a win-win on that matter. It's just the financial limitations.
I still think that I can make this whole "Self-made animator" thing work. The odds are growing more and more against me, but screw it. The dream doesn't die until I do.
If I end up finding a job or coming into money sometime this year (now that's an April Fools joke), there will be more bangers. If not, I try and make something at least... okay.
