I would like to share my thoughts on what had happened these past few days.

Charlie Kirk was unfortunately pronounced dead last night after getting assassinated at Utah Valley University by someone that has not been identified. Charlie Kirk did not deserve his death by any means, he was just doing what he was known for and speaking about his beliefs to everyone in attendance. The one thing that really got to me is how people are celebrating/laughing at his death and I'd like to say something about that. Just imagine yourself being Kirk's wife or one of his kids, watching your father doing his first amendment right and speaking his opinions only to be brutally shot just seconds later. Laughing at someone who did no harm and has a loving family is not okay, now Kirk's kids have to grow up without a father and Mrs. Kirk has to raise her kids and keep their life upright without Charlie there.

The whole situation is getting deep into me and while I never watched many of Kirk's speeches, his death shows how bad America has become when accepting people's opinions, killing people over it is something the founding fathers of this country did not envision. I surely hope nothing like this ever happens again.

Also yesterday, shots were fired at Evergreen High School which resulted in the deaths of3 people, the shooter and 2 students. While school shootings are tragic, this one happening a day before 9/11 and the death of Charlie Kirk made it even worse. I have nightmares about these happening and whole I believe the 2nd amendment right is important, it should not be used to harm others who are innocent, especially school students with a whole life ahead of them.

Finally, I would like to point out how today is the 24th anniversary of the September 11th attacks. Everyone on that seemingly normal day would be forever scarred with the sight of two airplanes flying into the World Trade Center and the other attacks. Not too mention the deaths of nearly 3,000 people from the attacks, over 400 of these people were first responders trying their hardest to save innocent lives. Never shall we forget the events that occured on this day or the people who were.
