It really depends on what universe ruleset you’re using. If it’s OPM’s ruleset where is he is literally the embodiment of OP then he wins, but on Neutral ground without the previous mentioned ruleset, then Superman wins.

Based on this poll, I can’t tell if this is a joke or not. Saitama is my second favorite character of all time (behind Yuji from JJK) and I have to admit that Superman would beat the brakes off the One Punch Man. Saitama has crazy hacks like blocking dimensional slashes, but Superman hit someone so hard that every version of him throughout time and the multiverse felt it and destroyed an infinite multiverse made by a sixth dimensional being with one punch WHILE knocking out that sixth dimensional being with THE SAME punch! Superman takes this.

Saitama. While Superman has better feats, he also has several negative feats. Saitama, on the other hand, has not even shown a minimum degree of vulnerability in a fight (he has in other ways). Both have a similar narrative principle: that being that they will always be strong enough to deal with the challenge. The main difference is that Saitama is not only set to be strong enough but overwhelmingly strong, he craves the chance to actually get to struggle and feel at risk. The enemies keep on scalling, and Saitama not only remains strong enough to defeat them but way too strong for them. That's his narrative rule. Pit him against whomever you'd like, he will be way too strong, always.

Personally, i believe that saitama is a cop out for most anime fans rn. Superman was created to be strong (by the writers), saitama was created to directly respond to all the Goku/Superman fans

It's been established that Saitama is effectively a toonforce character. Not actual toonforce (there isn't an official system for this ya know) So currently comparing him to anyone is like asking who could beat bugs bunny or pop eye. Even worse, Saitama is specifically a character made with the idea of power comparisons in mind. He is the ultimate schoolyard infinity +1 counter to anything you can think of.

Depends if superman wants to beat him or not. I can see superman figuring out that saitama gets stronger the more he fights and since he is literally just as incorruptable as he is, would just let him get as strong as he is. In his mind why not, saitama will not go rouge, he gets an actual sparring partner, and earth gets another powerful protector.
