Has a company ever reached out to you to make a video about them? Have you ever taken them up on the offer?

I'm amazed at how consistent you have stayed through the years with the structure of your videos. The epitome of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

just wanted to say that my dad and i are both fans of the channel! i used to watch your videos during lunch breaks in college, but once i told my dad about them he was interested and we started listening to them together in the car or on weekends instead. i’ve also legitimately learned a few terms, any time i hear leveraged buyout now i know it’s not going to end well 😅 happy anniversary

This like the only channel that I’ve always watched since prolly like 2017 when I first saw it. Never been a time where I haven’t watched these videos

Congratulations! It is always a pleasure to see you put these out. Well done on 7 years — wow, you’ve made it through a pandemic, 2 US presidents, and 2 major conflicts. A lot can happen in that span of time. Yes, from all the companies you’ve come to know and researched, what are the core traits or qualities that the most successful of them share?

Not at all a business guy, nor have I ever seriously considered a path in business. But your videos are simply entertaining, well-researched, and you present your stories in a unique way.

Do you choose a company first and decide how to tell it's story based on what you learn, or do you start by looking for companies that fit specific themes?

I don't know how you make company history so fascinating but you do and I'm here for it.

Not a question, just a comment. I remember watching your Oreo-O’s video back when it came out and I’ve stuck around ever since. I was like 15 around then and now I’ll be graduating business school in just a couple months. I honestly attribute a lot my initial interest in business to this channel. Thanks for the videos man.

Look forward to yer vids every week and still different than much of YouTube. Two questions though: Have you ever thought about being a business owner yourself? If not already and how/what would you do?

Thanks for all your videos. Any new release of yours goes on my must watch list. I am in love with your data driven approach, your no-nonsense rundown, and showing how and why it all happens.

I rarely if ever comment on any videos since I usually watch YouTube on appletv. But here I am whipping out my phone to send you a comment. I absolutely support less frequent videos to maybe shave off some less interesting topics. Hilariously I didn’t watch your lowest performing or highest performing videos this year, but I watched so many other ones. Ponderosa was incredibly interesting and got me chatting irl about it. Same with sheetz. I always enjoy your videos on defunct or highly local companies. I’m less interested in the more mainstream stuff. I definitely agree posting when you feel like it is best for all of us. I can’t imagine spending 2-3 days researching a topic only to find nothing interesting but being up against a deadline and finishing the video only to have it be met with less than ideal views. I know you aren’t asking but if you ever wanted to set up a Patreon and take even longer to investigate I’d support that. If you ever want to do more than you are doing I believe I could get behind it. Ultimately it’s your life we are just along for the journey.

For a one man production the consistency and quality of your videos keeps me coming back! Company Man has consistently been one of my favorite channels. I started with Carl’s Jr & Hardee’s video.

Company Man
May 12th will complete my 7th year on YouTube. Can you believe it?
Like every year, I’ll be making a special anniversary video thanking the audience and talking about the past, present, and future of the channel. If you have any questions you want to see answered in that video, feel free to ask them below.
This never would have been possible without such an amazing community of viewers so I hope you will tune in on Sunday to celebrate the occasion with me.
Thank you everybody. I mean it.
