Consistency.

Trust me guys its def NOT pushing past your limits (often at least). I train at RPE 10 most sets most sessions. Often I have to grunt or scream. The progressive overload is painfully slow and I'm still in novice numbers. My diet is on point so is my overall consistency (when not injured). Strength isn't really based on breaking your limit nor "heavy reps". It's about repetition, reinforcing the movement pattern, improving the CNS. No serious competitor in a field gives it their all only to be forced to take days and days off. They approach their work with just the right amount of "intensity" to be able to do it often as possible. "I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once. I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times."

Mechanical tension, consistency, food, stress management, sleep. Everything else is a bonus.

Depends, for size the 2nd. For Endurance the 1st. For a healty life if you find gym boring the 3rd. For strenght low reps, high weight

Honestly, I still can't believe people don't understand this in 2025. If you want to get better at somthing, you practice it. That includes everything from sprints and marathons, to calisthenics, powerlifting and body building... or a sport. You reap what you sow. If you play a sport, it's likely you're going to have a very high volume rate with your exercises. Especially if it is a sport of skill. Basketball, baseball, soccer, hockey. Or if you're a power lifter, you're going to lift really heavy a few times with long breaks.

Nah, farm guys, construction, UPS workers heck I was a busser that just carried lots of dishes all the time. If you want strength it's more reps more often and I mean like you're daily life just basically needs to be reps all day every day. If you wanna look strong go to a gym, if you want that uncanny way stronger than you look strength, work a laborious job.

I clicked on fancy gear because that's just amusing. It used to be a reason for me to want to go in the first place

Fancy gym gear is the top priority i need gloves or my soft hands will get blisters

@martingamer5591

Actually none of these. Strength training tends to be low volume and far from failure.
