Tycho

Time to Run, the first new Tycho music in over two years is out now! ๐Ÿ’ฅ

The Video for Time To Run is based around a cross country meet I ran when I was first starting out in the sport. Cross country races can be very solitary pursuits; spectators, coaches and officials are all there at the starting area but once the race begins you disappear into the woods where it's just you against the other runners, carrying all the expectations of the outside world. The intense pressure and overwhelming physical stress of the moment can make you want to just keep running and never look back. This story is about letting go of the expectations of others and finding your own peace and fulfillment ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿปโ˜ฎ๏ธ

Letting go of the harmful expectations of others in your life is important, but having expectations for yourself and others in general is healthy. Such as expectations for friends and setting goals for yourself in general! Side note ~ running CC (and the experiences that came along with it) was a major turning point in my own life. Helped me discover a bit more about myself and I continue to learn more as the years pass

Thank you Tycho! Unless you did it you really donโ€™t understand the mental/emotional experience in the back of the course. No spectators, no coaches, and often separation from other runners after the first mile or so. I learned a lot about myself during those experiences.

This is so cool, thanks for sharing your perspective on it. I fell in love with running when I was in the army and running with my buds all the time but now I don't have anybody to run with being back home so I'm looking forward to putting this track on and getting back in that runners headspace. Half a marathon is the longest distance run I've done and it was so much fun. โœŒ๏ธ๐Ÿ™‚

Ah yes. I remember running Cross Country. I was one of the bigger guys so was always in the back. But good times. Always felt better after a dreaded morning run.
