The Link's Awakening DX series will have to be put on hold. After numerous tech issues such as nonstop audio crackling and losing save file progress, it's too frustrating to continue. I may come back to it another time, but for now I'd rather move on to games that are enjoyable to play.

Not sure if you use an emulator or not, but I mostly play my GBA games on my phone with MyBoy! Advance. Maybe if you have tablet with screen recording capabilities may be a temp solution to your issue. If this solution isn't for you, try messing with the audio settings. It could also be a bad ROM or a preset GBA emulator with certain settings applied and others disabled. I know it sounds farfetched but I have downloaded emulators in the past that were like this.
