Montreal’s Metro just barely beats out Vancouver’s Skytrain for me. It’s better connected as an urban rail network vs. Vancouver’s disconnected spines and branches, although the Broadway subway will help a bunch. It’s also interesting that the Skytrain doesn’t serve UBC or SFU, two major university campuses. However, Vancouver makes up for it with a very well-connected and efficient bus network, which Montreal lacks. Bussing in Montreal was pretty crappy in my experience. (Haven’t been to Toronto so I can’t speak to it).

Toronto will once all of the ongoing projects open

right now, it's Montreal, but that's cause they had the foresight 10 years ago to build the REM, without REM de l'Est, Toronto and Vancouver will catch up in 10 years

@mohammadislam3376

I'd say Montreal at the moment definitely, but once Toronto finishes all of its major transit projects it'll take the top spot

I think one Niagara Falls Canada should have like four platforms and they should also have a little metro system

I would argue that system efficiency matters more than size, and on that Vancouver clearly wins

Montreal seems to have a weird outdated payment system, which was a real negative the few times I visited. On that, Toronto is way better.

@OntarioTrafficMan

As a Torontonian I'm sad to see how Toronto ranked I voted for Vancouver

@abdullahrizwan592

Right now its Montreal in terms of coverage but in terms of efficiency and consumer experience, Vancouver clears by a long shot. However, Toronto has the most projects under construction.

@maxjohkna

Montréal has the best metro, but Vancouver probably has the best overall system.
