Damn. Was just learning about Naxalism at a teach in this weekend. Not deeply, the focus was more on the Adivasi struggle in Bastar. Looking forward to the video and feeling for the folks in India being targeted by this repression

Keep up the good work brother. You’ve educated me a lot and you’ll continue to do so, I’m confident in that

Hats off to you comrade, Rohan, personally i have seen the very same fascist, ultra-conservative mindset in my classmates. I don't know that where Indian society is heading towards, but wherever it is, it will face a terrible fate in the future.

It's even worse when you learn that your own family in Maharashtra supports this. Nobody and I mean nobody should be arrested for speaking their thoughts. like really this is the people they are boot licking for. There's so much corruption in Maharashtra yet these are the laws they are passing. In Maharashtra, there has been so many corruption cases and allegations made yet devendra fadnavis is sweeping everything under the table and letting this shit pass

Just finished pre-watching a new doc on operation kagar for an upcoming film screening and was delighted to see this post when I woke up. I’ve been lamenting for years about the lack of good, FAIR English coverage on this topic. All we have is stuff like hindustan times and the occasional imperialist hatchet job in the western press. Looking forward to the video ✊

I like a novel about a guy who joined the naxal movement. At that time i wasn't a communist but i was still very sympathetic to that guy and his cause

I’m a big fan of anime and K-pop but I didn’t watch the movie, something about the animation style was unappealing/uncanny to me maybe for the reasons you described. If it was 2d like regular anime I probably would have watched it for sure. Some of the soundtrack is good though, haven’t listened to all the songs yet

I don’t follow. I know Adivasis fighting for their rights is good, but is Naxalism or Maoism or any communist movement good?

Just curious to know how much freedom of expression and dissent is ok with Naxals and Maoists.

I'm literally about to finish editing my 2.5 hour video on the history of Naxalism and the Maoist movement in India, and lo and behold Maharashtra dives nose first into the shitter by passing a "security" bill aimed at curbing so called urban maoists lol.
India already abuses the UAPA to jail journos and leftists, while labeling them as maoists and terrorists, when all they've done is speak up for Indian citizens against the BJP's fascist actions. Rona Wilson and the BK16 come to mind.
Indian Red scare is in full effect and it seems folks are willing to continue to sleepwalk into the depths, giving away their freedoms like its cheap. I cannot fathom the minds of folks in my comments and in real life who still think India isn't Fascist yet.
I have savarna libs who don't even live in India or know who the president is still jumping to India's defence in my DMs and calling me an "extremist" for calling for ceasefires and peace. Indian nationalism is a hell of a drug yo.
Make no mistake, the norm right now for many Indian normies everywhere is to allow the continued oppression of kashmir and look the other way when it comes to political assassinations overseas and keep quiet about indigenous people being slaughtered to have their land given to some billionaire in London. Not to mention be okay with India infecting journalists' phones and devices with israeli spyware.
These moves by the government will continue to make it so that literally any dissent will get you labelled a Maoist and jailed without evidence or a warrant.
Anyway, I'll cover the runway we've laid for ourselves in the next video
