To lighten the mood a little: an online friend of mine is liberal. However, during the campaign this year she was expressing some concerns. And once Biden dropped and Kamala was chosen? She looked to me and our other mutual friend (who is conservative. I'm independent but leaning conservative) asking "Okay, I know you're both good people. So tell me why you guys will vote for him. Explain the pros and cons of both sides." And We did. She voted for Trump and for a conservative for the first time ever. This is amazing to me because she decided to do her own research and woke up in time. We are now sharing videos and memes of the salt mining. It's glorious. She's disgusted with the reactions and how extreme they are. She also voiced she's glad she has us and some other friends who are open minded and willing to discuss and debate. So not all hope is lost. And it's always fun to share the profits of the salt mines together, HAH! As for my family, we were all voting for Trump, so we went out to dinner to celebrate. We've all relieved because the policies Kamala wanted to enact would SHRED what remains of the middle class. Economics is my degree so I've been following things closely. A lot of what I predicted in 2020 has come to pass thanks to the policies the Biden administration began churning out during the pandemic. The Pied Piper must be paid. And as a small warning: don't think Trump being in office will fix the economy overnight. It WILL get worse before it gets better. Prepare yourself.

Not an american, but this happened after the election results came out and my mom was sad that Harris lost and I just said that I was supporting Trump and she gave me a lecture that lasted like 2 hours on how Trump wants to "take women's rights away" and how I'm being so "misogynistic" and telling me to "grow up and be woke". Then she went on how Harris was trying to "fix" America and how abortion is so important and that there are more than two genders. I got so fed up i went to poop and locked the door BUT SHE KEPT ON YAPPING OUTSIDE.

2 thoughts - 1. Don't unfriend anyone; if they want to do it, that's their choice. 2. Do your best to let them know that they are making a permanent choice if they choose to unfriend you. Personally, I think that the idea that so many relationships are being affected by this is further evidence that we have a serious mental health crisis in this country.

i’m in middle school, and so many kids were saying that “we’re cooked/screwed” and that we’re living under a dictator, yet didn’t have any reasons for these statements. it was honestly really really annoying.

They kept telling me Trump was a fascist and I was a fascist and Batman was a fascist. All I did was side with Batman.

I got home from voting, and my mom asked me who I voted for. I told her Harris, and she pause, turned around and said, “Excuse me?” And asked again. She responded with “Damn it. I owe your brother a dollar.” 😭😭 I’m a moderate and my family is on all sides of the political spectrum. Ain’t no way I’m going to let politics ruin my relationships with my family. Love your videos!!

My parents and grandparents (particularly grandparents) have bad TDS. After Trump's victory was called yesterday, my grandmother removed her profile picture and cover photo on Facebook, and made the following post: "So easy to figure out who to delete today." As of now, she doesn't know I voted for him, and I will definitely be keeping it that way. Also, while my parents and I were having dinner last night, my mom said that her students who identify as trans were terrified for their lives, their gay colleague is now scared that his rights are on the chopping block, and that this election has made it clear that Americans will never accept a woman as president. I later made a comment that legacy news is dying because many people are now turning to podcasts and YouTube for their news, and my stepdad replied "Of course they are. We live in a post-truth society." Luckily, my parents both said that they respect my opinions and my right to vote how I choose. I'm just praying to God that politics don't come up on Thanksgiving. Really don't need such a special day to be spoiled with political arguments.

My cousins who are like sisters to me were ready to disown me for voting for Trump. As much as I respectfully tried to explain my values (being Christian, pro-life, wanting a better economy, hoping to own a home one day), there was no reasoning with them. While I could respectfully disagree, I was told to shut the * up and that I was f** dumb. I'm at least proud to no longer hide how I feel and what I think. For years I was afraid to speak up. Side note: I'm Hispanic and I don't buy into what the Left says about him. I think Trump is going to do great things for this nation and that is why I think God protected him not once, but twice. God bless America.

I’m a freshman in high school and in freshman success we were talking about employment and reasons someone could get a job. A black kid brought up getting a job because he’s black and I just casually said that’s a racist reason to give someone a job. Not that he’s racist, but that the employer in that situation is if that’s the reasoning. The entire class yelled at me saying that was my opinion, and when I tried to state that it was the definition of the word, they said to move on, like they always do when they know I’m right. It’s a twice monthly thing. The class is woke.

I have an art account where I post fan art for a certain anime. I never share anything political, because that’s not what my account is for. A few mutuals were posting on their stories things like, “F*ck you if you voted for Trump” “I hate America” “block/unfollow if you voted for Trump, I want nothing to do with you” “I wish the world would explode.” This is what I get though for being in the fandom/artist communities

Yesterday after the election was called I was in school with a few of my other friends (who also support trump) and we were talking about we finally have a future in this country when we graduate and another group of people heard us talking about this and was screaming at us, wondering how we can support him (We live in a blue state). When I tried to respond this guy just started screaming over me, calling us racist and transphobic, so we eventually just stopped entertaining them and started ignoring every person with dyed hair

At school (I'm in highschool) my teacher had us watch a movie the whole class period because she was "mourning the loss of women's healthcare." Also, a lot of the students kept talking about how they were going to get deported or how the country was doomed/going to be a dictatorship. I really didn't want to get involved much, because basically everyone at my school thinks that way and I'm 80% sure most of my friends would abandon me if I said that I didn't support Kamala, so when people asked about what I thought I just said that I didn't have much of an opinion yet. I honestly just wish that people could realize that you don't have to agree with each other to be friends, but I am just silently celebrating at school. (Also I love your videos)

I don’t lean toward either political party, and I didn’t vote. However, throughout this whole Trump-Harris discourse, I’ve found myself leaning towards Trump because we actually know what his policies are. I have friends online who were PLEADING for Harris to win, they were watching it live and I was there with them. For the most part, I had neutral input, but I had to bite my tongue so hard because they were wishing death on Trump. I don’t even avidly support the guy, I just don’t have a visceral hatred of him. One of my friends had wished the assassination attempt in the summer was successful prior to the election, and I told her I don’t care how much you disagree with someone, wishing death on someone is an awful thing to do. My girlfriend (I’m a young woman by the way) jumped in and disagreed with me. Since then, I’ve held my tongue. I’m not for a political party. I’m against wishing death on people.

Hi Misha, I’m from Ontario, Canada As someone who hated Trump in both 2016 and 2020 bc of what I was told about him, last week was when I came out as a Trump supporter to my parents (mainly bc I knew what his policies were and Kamala is dumb af). I wanna make it very clear that we usually don’t talk about politics at the dinner table (especially USA politics, my dad despises it) nor are my parents necessarily woke. Though you can tell they were listening to MSM throughout the election cycle since they were rooting for Kamala and hated Trump (his “mean” comments, he’s a felon, Jan 6, etc. stuff along that). The conversation was going all along pretty civil until we started talking about immigration where I started bringing up that we need a better immigration system since we have international terrorists coming into the USA and as the conversation dragged along, he eventually called me a white supremacist (god forbid I want secure borders in my country). I then brought up the fact that in middle Manhattan, 75% of the crime was being committed by migrants. He said that report was definitely not true, so I insisted that it was, then he proceeded to label all cops in America as racists because of it We eventually came to a resolution and we are still in good terms. Though I will say, it’s kinda frightening how brainwashed people are over here into believing that our brothers down south are racist and that a terrible place to live, etc. As someone who left the left, I did believe a lot of that shit in my teen years.
