You can turn it back on, you just have to go to settings, click privacy, and then toggle the switch to allow ppl to mention you, if it’s gray, your mentions are off

My mentions are pretty dead too. I'm sure because they can't physically tag you or something like that. When I try to tag my friend in videos I put them in. It doesn't show up so I just wait for them to respond. The same goes for my other friends when they try to tag me. Maybe that's what's going on with you. 👁
