Our children were allowed to get one when they started driving alone, got a job, and bought it themselves. And none of them got their license before they turned 17. They had to drive with us with their permits for one year thru all 4 seasons. We live in snow country.

No. They don’t understand media production and will sit and watch people doing it all day. Life experience is more important than passive watching. Passive watching is a massive dopamine producer. So creating addictions as early as you give them the phone. Also I am a hairdresser and more and more instead of interacting with me the child will fuss and scream unless given an iPad. (Under 4 years old does this) Of course not every kid, but enough to make me think it’s not exactly heathy mentally. Just my opinion, I myself am addicted to my phone. So I wouldn’t expect a child not to be!
