Freshwater fishing is fun. However, saltwater fishing has a significantly larger variety of fish. For instance, I caught spot, drum, Atlantic ray, cow nose rays, rockfish, toadfish, croaker, white perch, crabs, and bunker all in one day last week.

If i had a big boat and lived in a warm state near the ocean it would hard to argue salt vs fresh but love wading creeks and kayak fishing ponds man dont get much better then that

I live in Ohio so I can only do freshwater. However I have been to Florida once and did salt. Both are fun but freshwater is what I know best.

I like both, but I have better luck catching saltwater fish than freshwater fish

Both are fun. I'm still a bit new to salt water fishing, but in the past 5 years of trying it out, I started loving salt water a lot more! It's just so vast and you have multiple ways to catch different things and that's fun, and it's also fun catching bait fish with a sabiki rig lol.
