'Automatic ads' seems to be one every couple of minutes. Absolutely bonkers. The Mycenaeans vid had hundreds upon hundreds of adverts. Making it unwatchable. Really sorry about all this folks! A switch was flicked a few weeks ago apparently. I'm going through now and manually switching it all off and putting a normal amount back

Thank you for being such an incredible creator and for genuinely seeming to care about your audience. You are quite literally the gold standard of independent history channels, and probably of all history channels including the televised stuff. I’ve learned SO much on so many subjects that interest me through History Time. It’s amazing how YT seems to do whatever it can to screw over their creators… anything for business daddy to make a buck(or quid?).

I can't wait to revisit your channel after your efforts. I actually watched (well, listened often) in the evening when I was trying to wind down from the day to prepare for sleep. Nothing better than to take in a respected history lesson, to learn something, to focus on learning something without interruption to bring a mind to a singular focus in order to shed the stressors and shed the anxieties od the daily grind. I decided to pay for Premium some months ago. I'm using YouTube and wonderful things like History Time to help me through chemo therapy. I was able to add 4 more people to it, so my adult family can YouTube without interruption especially for things they want to share with the grandkids. Life's too short to have my music, documentaries, tutorials, old movies and stand-up comedians be interrupted by ads. I'm sorry that so many streaming platforms are struggling financially and have gone to including ads. I picked the platform that brings me the most joy and paid for Premium. Other platforms I just dropped. Thank you for your wonderful channel. It means a lot to me when I can't move or even sit up to still engage my mind.

They are doing it to everyone and it's ridiculous. I've even seen them put an ad over the portion of the video where the creator is doing his own ad for his sponsorship. What is going to happen is that creators are going to start losing sponsors because of it and it's just not right.

History Time
Flipping heck guys! It's just been brought to my attention that YouTube has placed ads every 3 minutes or so in History Time vids. Really sorry about this folks! Absolutely baffling decision by YouTube on films that are many hours long. I'll have to go through manually and take out all these ads. Sorry once again. You take your eye off the ball for a minute and it's nothing but adverts. Not good! Love to all - Pete
