As a father of 3 and being only a couple years older than him, I cried a little on my drive home when my wife told me. Because there is nothing more gut wrenching or saddening as a father as imagining your wife having to tell your children that daddy’s not coming home. I truly feel for his wife and their children.

Absolute tragedy he was a devout follower of Christ so I have full belief he is with the Lord forever. just wanted you guys to know that God’s love is indescribable. I don’t know why some of the suffering in the world happens, but I know that Jesus wept over a few people almost no one knew or cared about (John 11:1-45), and when he healed a 12 year old girl and told the people there to give her something to eat (mark 5:21-43), and when he healed the woman with the issue of blood then called her “daughter” (luke 8:43-48), and above all when Jesus died on the cross and took our sins. We can hear that a lot and it not mean anything to us but think of it like this: We broke God’s law, and God’s the judge. We are the criminals if we have all lusted and God says that that's adultery (Mathew 5:28) and if we have all murdered in God’s eyes (hated people Mathew 5:21) along with all the evil we have done and so we are all guilty. But God, in his love, still loved us even when we were all covered in sin and crimes. When Jesus died on the cross it was like the payment for sin Roman's 6:23 “the payment for sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life” and that eternal life is through the cross. what you have to do is accept the gift that Jesus paid off your fine. And once you do that, and you believe Jesus, your choosing not to follow yourself or the world any longer with its empty ways of life, but follow the one who loves you the most, Jesus Christ. But he is the only way to life Roman's 10:9 “if you believe in your heart God raised Jesus from the dead and confess with your mouth ‘Jesus is Lord’ you will be saved.” That means you believe what God says about himself is true, and your choosing to follow Jesus or confess his name as "Lord" or king so follow him. He knows you and loves you so get to know and love him. start reading the Bible and start with the gospel of John then the whole New Testament after that do the old testament it changed my life. Jesus calls the Bible the bread of life in Mathew 4:4 “man shall not live on bread alone but on every word that comes out of the mouth of the living God” so we have to “eat” of it to grow in our salvation. God bless you guys. Remember that we can’t be 1 foot in for Jesus and 1 foot in for the world and its passions and evils. Jesus says that these people haven’t truly accepted him and will not enter heaven though he would love them to (revelation 3:16-17) so seek the Lord and know it’s not by your own works that your saved but by the blood of Jesus and accepting that and once you have truly accepted it you will follow him and what he says because he has put himself (the Holy Spirit) into you so that you seek him. Just ask and you will receive. make that decision to follow Christ. ❤️ I believe the Lord will do great things with yall if you’ll let him work through you.

Absolute horror. There are no other words to describe that. There is no place in a civilized society where something like that can even be a realisitic thought, let alone a real event. It doesn't matter if some of his political views didn't align with yours or if he was supporting the president that you didn't, if you think of this disgusting abhorent murder as anything short of a tragedy, you're a part of the problem. This didn't accomplish anything, yet a woman and 2 perfectly fine babies became a widow and 2 fatherless kids just because of some nutjob. I'll be keeping you in my prayers and I hope you rest easy there, Charlie.
