You and me both, apart from AI being used by the wrong people who only care about making money or disillusioned unartistic individuals who think by just putting in a prompted into an image generator, that are equally as talented at Van Gogh. AI is also very energy inefficient and hasn't actually generated any money. For example just to generate a single sentence, AI requires an entire gallon of water to provide cooling to the servers. Just to give an idea how insane this is, Microsoft has show serious interest in opening a dedicated nuclear power plant, so they can run their CoPilot crap. This is due to the current IA server farms over whelming current power stations. Worst of all, nobody talks about that, and how energy consumption has skyrocketed since the boom of AI. This is very ironic especially in my house hold, as my mum works with energy providers, and has always been wherry about the amount of energy we use. She constantly tells us of if we have an unnecessary amount of lights on, or if I spend to long in the shower. But recently her work have been giving her lessons in Co Pilot and how it can be use to make her work easier. Despite her lack of tech skills, she has fully embraced the CoPilot tools, while being completely unaware of the amount of power it's consuming. The irony is that no matter is that no matter what step she takes to save energy, form using old milk bottles in the shower, to save water for the toilets, or only having the heating on when all the family is home. Non of that will undo the amount of energy required to use Co Pilot.
