As a gardener, garden machinery is a noisy hobby. I use ear defenders with a built in radio to help. But is there any tools out there that are more sound friendly.?

That kitchen appliances is really a good idea, I wish the bell of my toaster oven could shut off, also the bips of my microwave is annoying that I was even thinking about opening them and modify. Quieter life. Yeah 😎

I’ve just moved into a top floor apartment in an older building, and unfortunately I can hear everything my downstairs neighbor does — footsteps, convos, opening and closing drawers. It’s keeping me up at night. What can I do as a renter to save my sanity? Not sure how to combat sound coming from below, seems like acoustics shouldn’t flow that way…

We bought a new home and it is near 3 noisy roads. Already bought and placed soundproof windows but a lot of traffic noise is entering and reverberating into our home from the attic/ceiling (it is a 1 story home). What is your recommendation for soundproofing our attic floor? We have blown in insulation already in place. Would we need to vacuum it out, fill it with batts and MLV, or should we do a drywall for best results? Thanks in advance.
