I’d really like to know what is going on in France, but from a leftist. I am sick of all of the centrist “well you know the problem is they have a lot of pensioners” takes from people who think communism and fascism are the same thing

Hey Alice, Satyam here from India. I want someone to explore the idea of how polite society has made westerners, and in particular, americans so soft and compliant. Why are Americans so pliable and incapable of doing real activism, such as blocking roads, going on hunger strikes, etc, even if on an individual level? What stops movements from emerging around a single man populist, like they sometimes do here in India, even if it is political opportunism? In hindsight I am kind of shocked that nobody decided to go on some sort of prolonged campaign against the Gaza genocide during the Biden admin, when the false liberal pretenses were still present. I cannot imagine what a public figure fasting unto death for a ceasefire would look like, and the optics it would generate especially during a more liberal admin, which has to acknowledge to pay lip service to this kind of thing. Why does nothing ever happen in these western countries when there is so much discontent, and political vacuum to fill? Why are so few people interested in becoming politicians? How has so much of the western leadership become so uncharismatic and milk toast? How does liberalism breed this kind of leadership, and why are they not gobbled up by more savvy players, even if they might not be the most principled?

Can you please do a deep dive on France s history of sheltering activists and such from all around the world. It s something that fascinates me. There s so little info on that that not in French

How have the French public's perceptions of the UK and US changed in the past decade or so? Both nations have made fools of themselves, naming no blonde leader in particular, and I always welcome some European cynicism on the subject of the self-obsessed Anglosphere. (Australia and NZ are just frankly less cringe atm... leaving you guy off through love, promise!)

Well since I posted a comment under a comment about this, I think it would be nice if you could make a video about how in France, national strike/protest mouvement are organised and sustained, including the general assemblies, the communication between intersyndicales, the communication within union confederations. And also maybe some basic safety tips for protesting. I feel like a lot of your viewers are from the US and the activist network there are weakened and non-resilient, because of decades of red scare, mccarthyism, union-busting and repression of activists group (such as what happened to the Black Panthers). I'm not sure if they even have legal teams and street medics... I'm not from the US, I'm a french unionist and I feel like media only share about the results and never about all the organisation that goes behind the scene for activist movement. And I think it would be nice for USians to have some ressources to turn to to rebuild their activists/unions networks. What do you think?

I think a video about what would constitute a model of healthy masculinity - from the point of view of straight women, without references to celebrity men - would be timely on the backdrop of the crisis of manhood. Men are apparently unable to come up with ideas for such a model given how their ability to speak to each other about such topics is severely constrained by how they are brought up and how they haven't had an equivalent of feminist language and practice.

Women's history, possibly in trade unions or STEM during early industrialisation in Europe. Possibly a comparison to current status. Kaye Jones (The Herstorian) covers this a bit but I would like to know your perspective on this.

I love you you're one of my fav content creators. I'll be honest and say that you make socialism and feminism feel easy and obvious and normal and tbh I don't feel that way with a lot of socialist folks 😅

Actually I really liked the video of French colonisation and the effects today in France and outside, it's quite interesting to hear it. Race and class kind of stuff. Also the feminist videos were nice too.

Yey~! Je suis excité! I didn't see your GenZ video yet, but i've seen other people do them and we really ought to start being more critical of this stuff. Thinking there is any inherent shared interest across generational lines is a mistake, we live how we live and class interests still reign supreme. It's also farcical to celebrate 50 thousand children of the idle-class voting on a PM of a country of 60 Million people over Discord as in any way Democratic, as many have. Something i'd personally like you to cover? It's a bit more historic but probably ZAD de Notre-Dame-des-Landes (and the Zone à Défendre movement in general perhaps), it is not well known outside of France yet probably was the most successful example of grass-roots organizing and change i have seen in my lifetime that managed to bring in a wide variety and large amount of people. I expect even the younger generation in France perhaps does not know of this.

Love the channel Alice! Echoing what another commenter said about healthy models of masculinity not derived from pop culture — I’d also be super interested in a video about modern dating culture!
