HBO Max is launching in 14 more countries/territories in the Asia-Pacific region on October 15th. Here's a list: SOUTH ASIA: -Pakistan -Bangladesh -Nepal -Sri Lanka SOUTHEAST ASIA/CHINESE TERRITORIES: -Myanmar -Cambodia -Laos -Macau SAR -Brunei -Timor-Leste OCEANIA: -Papua New Guinea -Solomon Islands -Palau CENTRAL ASIA: -Mongolia I honestly wouldn't expect much in the localization department, though launching HBO Max in additional South Asian countries would make it easier to launch the service in India in the distant future.

Cyprus's HBO Max library for Cartoon Network shows is unusually very limited compared to other European countries. Will they still get The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball on October 6th, or will it be exclusive to Cartoon Network MENA there?

I noticed that HBO Max in Georgia (and by extension the other Russian-localized ex-Soviet countries) has added many more audio tracks to much of its programming. A thing I noticed is that Dutch dubbing for Boomerang/Cartoonito programming is often available on the Eastern European prints (despite the fact that almost all Dutch dubbing for non-Boomerang/-Cartoonito Cartoon Network programming aside from maybe Ben 10 vs. the Universe only exists on Western European prints). However, the Dutch dubs are also available on the Western European prints too, which makes me think that Dutch is the only audio track besides English that's available on both Western and Eastern European Boomerang/Cartoonito prints on HBO Max. I'm assuming that the Dutch dubs being on the Western European prints was specifically intended for Belgium (since Belgium has to have both the French and Dutch dubs available on the exact same prints), while the Dutch dubs were originally intended to be on the Eastern European prints due to HBO Max launching in the Netherlands before it came to Belgium. That said, I'm convinced that both the Netherlands and Belgium do not use Eastern European prints at all (even when the Eastern European prints have Dutch dubbing available), outside of shows exclusive to Boomerang/Cartoonito CEE that aren't on HBO Max in Nordics, Iberia or France.

Now that HBO Max is live in all of the aforementioned countries, I have a few questions pertaining specifically to Malta and Iceland (since both are EEA countries and I cannot access their respective content libraries): Do Malta and Iceland receive English subtitles for any CN shows or not? Additionally, which audio tracks do Malta and Iceland receive for CN shows aside from English? (Denmark gets audio in Danish, Swedish, Norwegian and Finnish in addition to English for CN shows. Albania gets audio or subtitles in Serbian, Croatian and Slovene for CN shows.) Also, are there CN shows that Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania receive subtitles but not voice-overs for?

I think Max in Cyprus will use a mixture of Greek dubbing and Greek subtitles for CN shows, and full Greek dubbing for Boomerang/Cartoonito shows. (Greek dubs will be available for movies which have them.) And because Turkish is also official in Cyprus, I expect that the Turkish dubs and subtitles (as well as Turkish UI) will also become available there (albeit not to the same extent as in Turkey). Cyprus likely won't have Steven Universe on Max because they get Cartoon Network MENA (which stopped airing SU way back in October 2016). Iceland will likely leave all CN/Boomerang/Cartoonito shows in English without subtitles, while Icelandic dubbing will be available for movies which already had them. I don't expect CIS/Baltics/ex-USSR to get any audio and subtitles in languages other than Russian, Estonian, Latvian or Lithuanian (except maybe Georgian, but only for movies). CN/Boomerang/Cartoonito shows from before somewhere in 2022 (including previously unaired episodes of Steven Universe as well as the movie and Future) will have their usual Russian dubs on Max, while ones from after that point will largely be voiced over (like on Cartoon Network since the channel left the Russian market in 2022). Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian voice-overs for CN/Boomerang/Cartoonito titles are already confirmed. Albania will likely be treated similarly to North Macedoniaโno dubbing whatsoever, only subtitles and UI. Also, CN/Boomerang/Cartoonito stuff in unsubtitled English.

SU Instrumentals, Acapellas & More

(No, these countries aren't random)
HBO Max in July will launch in all these countries, so they'll finally release all that's missing for the Baltic VOs and the Russian dub (There's still no info about what will or happened with the last episodes of S5, since we only know they dubbed Reunited and that's it).
I also know that it will launch in Ukraine because they added it in their source code with these ones, including an Ukrainian interface, it most likely is one of those mentioned by 2025, and probably it will launch with Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and maybe some others from Asia hopefully.
For languages, there will be:
- Cyprus will receive a Greek UI an audio and subs, I have a little more info on this but I'll try to leave it for another post.
- The Baltics will receive their own UIs in their languages, audio and subs.
- Georgia and CIS will receive a Russian UI, audio, subs and for now I don't know if they plan to add other languages like Georgian.
- Iceland will receive subs and dubs, but I don't know yet if an UI, but it is very likely.
- Albania doesn't seem like it will receive anything, besides some subtitles from Discovery and stuff related to that, but maybe they'll update it in the next weeks and also include an UI at least and subs for more stuff like Warner's.
- Malta most likely will only receive all in English.
- Ukraine will have an Ukrainian UI and since the launch is not now, they haven't added any tracks so I can't say anything about that, but it's kinda obvious it will have audio and subs.
This is not for all the content, but for a lot of stuff I've been checking.
They've also been adding Hebrew tracks to Warner's movies and some other stuff, and they always had subtitles for Discovery's content, so I don't know what they are actually planning.
During these weeks they've been adding multiple tracks so most likely they'll add new tracks for SU at some point, I'll post the videos if so.
Here's an article which was just posted and mentions about this (I was about to mention it but with all the info I got by myself lol):

And well, that's also pretty much it, I can't say much since that's basically all I know, cya very soon!!!
