Sam Gutman

If you thought anything about my last video was insensitive, I invite you to let me know. (Including title or thumbnail).

Before I posted it, I questioned whether I had dealt with the topic sensitively enough, and whether the thumbnail was in poor taste. I also was aware that I had told this story on the channel before, although in a different context in a different video. Sure enough, the first two comments called out these things. I figure that if two people felt moved to comment on these things, that it’s possible that other people are thinking it too.

I invite you to give me negative feedback if you feel that it’s warranted. I am still figuring out what the goal is in sharing myself here on YouTube, and what impact it has. I actually have very little sense of how many people out there watch my videos consistently. If you think I’ve said or done something ignorant or insensitive, please let me know and I won’t get offended.

No problem with the video, it was good. I think we could extend those reflections to any kind of job, not just music.

I think the thumbnail and title were a bit clickbaity but overall I've enjoyed your content regardless. It's just what needs to be done in today's content. Don't worry about it. Keep the great vids coming. Do what you gotta do... If people complain, enjoy it as engagement 😅

Sam, there was nothing in the least bit offensive about your last video or any other. I love your channel and have seen most of them. Anyone who deems anything that you do to be offensive spends most of their self-imposed, miserable existence looking to be offended by anything. Scrape ‘em off. Keep doing what you’re doing. I greatly appreciate your insights and the genuine manner by which you express them.

Thumbnail wasnt offensive, but it was goofy/clickbaity. You don’t need to be the “usual” youtuber, be yourself!!! :)
