Silent Dreams

Maybe I'm just a negative nancy but I played the game for an hour and already got a bit bored, game ain't worth $70, ESPECIALLY not $90. Get this game on sale IF POSSIBLE!!!
Racing games are not for me, cheers to those who are enjoying themselves with it though!

Also little announcement, I've remixed E-Stadium for those who are interested, got a friend on board working on his side of things, stay tuned! :D

Also HUH? Why is Steam saying Elden Ring is similar LMAO

@Also_Lighternade

Honesty, it's fine not to enjoy certain games. Thank you for being nice to others who enjoy it

I'm glad you're not like one of those mfs where youre like "This game sucks so exponentially hard and anyone who likes it is delusional", it's a breath of fresh air in this community

@CryptorYT

That's a valid feeling, personally I'm having a lot of fun with it

It’s definitely a buy day one only if you’re going to be playing it online religiously, which is why I pre ordered the deluxe version. With that being said, absolutely wait for a sale if you don’t care about having every character and instead just want to play it solo.

It's, uh, the Dark Souls of racing games...? Eh? Eeeeeh? Anyone...?

Both games break you, one mentally the other financially.

I would say try going into the settings and turning the camera to dynamic, the steering sensitivity all the way up, and play on Sonic Speed. It's an entirely different and faster experience than the default.

I'm having a lot of fun playing the open network test of the game.

I enjoyed the game but I'll be buying it on sale for sure. The online is what makes it fun imo. Utter chaos and destruction 🔥

Honestly, I've played it for about 4 hours now, and I definitely get that. I've kinda had the opposite effect tho. I was planning on skipping this game entirely, but i've genuinely been having lots of fun with it. Not $70-$90, but I actually plan to buy it on sale eventually now! Tho I tend to like kart racers, so fair all the same lol

@Scwibbleton

i like the game but i shouldn't have to pay 80 cad to play (YES 80$ CAD FOR THE BASE GAME)

@Nancydrew-g2i

That’s what I’m planning. Wait till the price goes down. I was impatient with shadow generations and got it at full price. I won’t make that mistake again.

This and mk world are def worth 30-40$, and thank you for not trashing on the other games! I absolutely despise console wars!

Actually, just to add to the conversation: I'm kind of burned out on racing games being pushed in general. The one I've been most hyped for is Kirby Air Riders, and that's half personal nostalgia, half because we haven't gotten a Kirby racing game in so long. And even then I'm not sure if it'll be enough to make me get a Switch 2. The coolest part of Sonic Racing Crossworlds wasn't the gimmick, so much as the roster, and I fully admit that's because I'm Sonic trash. (haha Jet the Hawk acknowledged and Sage is in a car lookit her go) The cross-stage teleportation just seemed... there. And potentially needlessly busy. And Mario Kart World's open world seems like it could be cool... if I were a child, and was still using games to go on little make-believe adventures with my friends and family. At least for a racing game set in the real world, there's the appeal of a virtual roadtrip. But I just do not see the appeal of applying that to a Mario Kart game, where the world and its settings are as consistent as an indecisive shapeshifter. Granted I'm not the best one to talk about this subject, because racing games also aren't really my thing. But still, stuff like Mario Kart World being set up as the Switch 2's premiere title, CrossWorlds' price tag and whatnot... I dunno. If these games are meant to draw in general audiences with their gimmicks, got to say that those gimmicks alone just aren't grabbing my attention :/

@kingstarscream320

Try increasing the difficulty. Racing games aren’t fun until you get that challenge and the exhilaration that comes with just BARELY passing the guy in first at the last second.

@TacosMano

It says "Similar to games you've played" not "Similar to THIS one game". So I think you play Souls like aren't u (õvò)

@WrecklezzENT

Yeah, man, they need to come up with something new and unique. Sega/Sonic team is just nostalgic everything now. Give us a faster game with better tricks and make it competitive!

@thelastgogeta

Steam Algo be like: "Sonic Racing Crossworlds has rings and Elden Ring is about a ring" then "This 2D momentum based platformer with loop-de-loops is nothing like anything you've ever played" What kinds of racers did you like in the past by any chance?

@RaiginAnimator

I feel like saying. Racing games aren’t for me and this ain’t worth 70$ Is kinda contradictory largely because people who like racing games are kinda the main audience and if you don’t like them they’ll never be worth what it is to others
