I do love these cats. Bohus does look a little intense. Maybe a bit of an introvert? 😻😁

Hi! I’m in Budapest now and saw both Aytas and Bohus yesterday. Aytas was active and Bohus was sleeping in his hut in the upper right corner, and it took me a long time to find him😹Thank you for your previous suggestions

Hello there :) I just wanted to let you know that Aytas was transferred to a Zoo in Gdańsk, Poland in July 2024 and is waiting to meet his girlfriend soon :) He was also renamed to "Manuel", which I personally don't like - Aytas was a nice name.

Travel for animals
Picture 1: Bohus always likes to stay in the small nest in the upper right corner, and only occasionally comes down for a walk.
Picture 2: Currently, of the six baby manuls born in 2022, only Aytas remains in the Budapest Zoo for the time being. Although he lives next door to Bohus, he is not on display. We can only occasionally see Aytas through Bohus’ cage (circled in orange)
Picture 3 and Picture 4: Photos of Bohus that I found on the zoo’s website. I'm terrible at telling "who is who" among animals, so I was worried about misidentifying the cat, then I downloaded the photo of Bohus. For comparison, the one I photographed(Picture 1) is exactly Bohus, right?😉
