RIP Akira Toriyama… words honestly can’t describe how important dragon ball is and how much impact this man has had in our lifes, with his amazing, funny and beautiful mangas and art. I could go on forever about how much I love his work and the inspiration and how super grateful for the happiness he has brought to me and many other over the years. I don’t think a celebrity death has ever hit me this hard and made me this upset. Idk where he is now but I only wish him the best, same for his family, friends and the community. Thank you… 🐉

I am of the firm belief that without Dragon Ball, the super transformations in Sonic would simply not exist, period. The powerful and uplifting Super Saiyan transformations and super state transformations in Sonic mean so much to me, inspire me, and uplift my spirit. They hold a special place in my heart and make me feel as if I can overcome anything. Last night, I looked at my playlist of songs that make me feel as if I can transform into a super state and it made me smile, brought some joy to me, and I revisited that playlist. Thank you for everything, Toriyama-san. Rest in peace.

There are so many legendary people that brought us up like Robin Williams and Stan Lee. I'm confident Toriyama and others well be immortalized by their works. Arigatou, sensei.

We didn’t just lose an artist. We lost a living legend. WithToriyama’s work for creating Dragon Ball it’s not only gone on to become of the biggest franchises in ALL of Nerd culture but it became the gateway for Shonen Anime as a genre of Animation and entertainment. If it wasn’t for Toriyama’s years of work on Dragon Ball then… I don’t know. Anime just wouldn’t be as huge as it today. Naruto, One Piece, Bleach, Demon Slayer, My Hero Academia etc have Toriyama and Dragon Ball to thank for. And that’s not even mentioning his contributions to Chrono Trigger, one of the most beloved JRPGs and Dragon Quest a HUGE RPG name of Square Enix! And if it wasn’t for Dragon Ball the concept of Super Sonic would not exist. DB is a franchise you can see all the blood sweat and tears he’s put into this media giant, he was very proud of what he’s created. And one upcoming project Dragon Ball Daima was one he was very excited and passionate about! And then he passes away before he could see it come to fruition. It is absolutely devastating. So Toriyama-San… Thank You.

Toriyama, known for his unparalleled creativity and passion, leaves behind a rich legacy of manga titles and artworks that have captivated audiences worldwide, and earned the admiration of countless individuals in the #Sonic community.
The Super Saiyan transformation, a core pillar to Toriyama’s Dragon Ball series, was widely seen by Sonic fans as a major inspiration to Sonic, Shadow, and Silver's super transformations.
The artist succumbed to blood suffusion around the brain last Friday 1 March, according to a statement issued by his studio late Thursday night.
A private funeral service was held with close family members. His family requested privacy and refrained from engaging in interviews, but the studio promised a plan for a commemorative gathering to honour Toriyama’s life and work.
