Don Suratos Miniatures

😅 I love Youtube comments ( Facebook comments too )… So amusing when people think that content creators will only reply with “Thanks for watching”.

Hey Don, don’t let the negative comments get to you. To balance it out you’re by far my favourite painting channel, watching your techniques have gotten me back into painting after a 25 year break from the hobby and give me the confidence to pick up a brush again and try out your techniques and get a finish I’m happy. Keep showing us your work 🙏

Mini painting can be as quick or prolonged as one wants. You can just use 1 layer of speed paint over a dry brushed base and be done. Totally fine for table top. Or you can add 1 layer of acrylic highlights. Or spend 700hrs on a competition piece lol. What I like about you Don is you experimented and showed us another interesting way of using speed paints beyond how they were typically being used. 👍

A lot of painters don’t use speed paints for there intended use (as they suck for it) using them as you do makes for a better use in my opinion and I’ve seen many painters say the same as what you do. Speed paints are another tool not the answer.

Honestly, I like the faster demonstration of things--when I'm trying to replicate something, I like having a visual list. I might experiment on my own with things as I go along, but getting the fast bullet points helps me a lot. I appreciate what you do!

The thing is speed painting does mean fast and your speed paint plus style is much faster than using just acrylic paint. Don't let the haters bother you. I have actually adopted your speed paint plus style( my you in not on your level but hopefully one day). And it has greatly improved my armies.

You're doing good work my dude. The hobby still has a lot of curmudgeons that just can't ever say anything nice. Probably the same guys who people don't want to play against at the hobby shop

Anybody who makes an uninformed statement instead of asking a question is arguing in bad faith. The internet has little to no accountability for crappy behavior, so don't let what random people on it affect you.

Hey Don, since you can outpaint 99% of the detractors with your non-dominant hand I wouldn't be too concerned.

I'm starting to agree that this channel is a joke. Where are the chickens, Don? We want chickens.

Hi Don, I must say I really dislike those provocative clickbait titles. Those drag you attention from what is best about your channel.
