Death Riders vs Aces and 8’s in a remote on a pole match.

What storyline?

I could have been. I thought there was some promise at first. Then they absolutely failed to give the group any meaning or direction. I still don't know what the goals of the group are. Contrast that with the Hurt Syndicate. They want to hurt people. I know this because they have stated it. And they don't want to be sneaky about it. They want to walk right up to people and hurt them.

Reasons why it's falling flat. 1. Hiding the World title is fucking stupid. 2. It's not "nWo" enough. They aren't intimidating at all. 3. It's not clear why Mox is doing what he's doing. 4. Mox seems LESS violent. Has he even got colour once in this angle? 5. Yuta & Pac are geeks.

It so strange that we haven't seen the belt in months. It just feels like they made the belt a prop that doesn't matter

I voted no because indifferent wasn't an option.

There are easily 5-6 storylines more compelling in the company at the moment. For so long Mox was built up to be this unstoppable force of nature, and now suddenly he needs help/interference to win every single match that he’s in? There’s such a disconnect between what the so-called mission statement of the group is and what plays out on screen. Yes, they’re heels, but I feel like the reasoning for why Moxley the man has had to resort to winning the way he does has been heavily underdeveloped and causes a large disconnect. Not to mention Marina just stands around and seems to have no motivation to win any gold of her own, which doesn’t make any sense either from a storyline perspective. Like, if she’s such a killer, why is she never trying to become a champion herself? Is the women’s division not even worthy of their attention? Clearly I’m overthinking it, but if you’re going to devote this much television time to a story, I feel like a there shouldn’t be this many holes in logic 6 months in. Been an AEW fan since day 1, but this has been a colossal disappointment.

Much like the Bucks takeover last year, it had an interesting idea to begin with, but fairly quickly it ran out of ideas. The Death Riders don't even do any toughening up of people it considers to be worthy for AEW, like it did with Private Party or Garcia. Its just become a standard heel group.
