I went to new Orleans and shots were fired as well new Orleans is a dangerous place it should be more awareness especially about downtown because u would think that it's somewhat safe but it's not

Crazy left her hometown to avoid the exact type of scenario back home. We have to stop being out all the time and learn to celebrate and leave back home safely as family instead of sit outside and linger for hours in areas that attract crowds or too much attention.

American Crime: Femicide
On September 28, 2025 🎂🎉, Jessica Williams, a 33-year-old mother of two from Chicago 👩👧👦, traveled to New Orleans with her sister, mother, and friends to celebrate her birthday. She was enjoying Bourbon Street, collecting birthday money 💵, laughing, and soaking in the energy of the French Quarter 🌃🎶. But the celebration turned into tragedy when two men, Mekhi Jarius Andry and Dontrell Bradley, got into an argument that escalated into gunfire 🔫. Shots ripped through the crowd, striking Jessica, her sister, and two others. Jessica collapsed while walking back toward her hotel, her life cut short only two and a half hours after her birthday celebration had begun. 🚨
Jessica’s sister, who goes by Vona Boyd on social media, was also shot but survived 🙏. Through her pain, she wrote online that losing her sister felt unbearable, promising to care for Jessica’s children “5ever.” Witnesses described the horrifying moment, with one woman saying she thought she was shot herself when the bullets came so close 💔😢. Police later confirmed that Andry faces murder and attempted murder charges, while Bradley was charged as a felon in possession of a firearm and also wanted on probation warrants. ⚖️ What should have been a night of joy ended in grief, leaving her family heartbroken and her children without their mother. May Jessica Williams rest in peace. 🕊️
