Admiral Laxminarayan Ramdas PVSM, AVSM, VrC, VSM, ADC 13th Chief of Naval Staff . Was decorated with Veer Chakra during 1971 war Commanding INS Beas.
He was from the 1st Joint Services Wing branch which later moved to Khadakwasala. Commissioned in 1953. He married daughter of 1st Naval Chief Admiral Katarii to whom he was Flag Lieutenant.
He held various appointments before he was Chief of Naval Staff.
Post retirement he settled in Alibagh in Maharashtra where he was a known figure fighting and championing social cause.
