After roughly six years of SoundClouding, now my SoundCloud upload history screeches to a halt as it has virtually reached full capacity (98%, 178 out of the maximum 180 minutes allowed for free accounts). This means I can no longer upload there (as backup) any of my future musical works, especially the instrumental PC-9801 versions of my vocal synthesizer productions (which I try to keep out of my YouTube channel, so as to prevent them from robbing views from the full-vocal PC-9821 versions, which are these days my primary YouTube content whose viewership I want to prioritize). I do not plan to create a secondary SoundCloud channel because to the best of my understanding, SoundCloud only allows you to own one account there (& expects you to subscribe to their Artist Pro paywall if you want to upload more content to such single account, but that would only make sense if you only compose original songs that get a lot of plays & a lot of financial profit, & makes absolutely no sense if the bulk of your content is just covers that either can’t be monetized or garner too few plays to generate significant revenue). So, here ends my SoundCloud career (which anyways wasn’t my main source of followership, that title belongs to this YouTube channel you are subscribed to which is my true main public presence). Moving forward, for full-vocal musical works (the PC-9821 versions), I will no longer publish their instrumentals (their PC-9801 versions) & will only upload right away the PC-9821 versions as soon as they get finished. (This rule will not apply to musical works that are purely instrumental, like Touhou covers & most of my paid commissions which usually happen to be covers of video-game BGMs that don’t use vocals at all; these will still be uploaded here as usual.)
