One small thing I noticed wasn’t in the guide: if you lack the poke balls or means of actually getting to a shiny pokemon, don’t be afraid to leave it be and come back to it later. The game will remember up to 10 wild shiny Pokemon across your map before the first one goes away forever when you find an 11th shiny pokemon

Bro- I’ve been using that exact bench to try and shiny hunt Absol and have had absolutely no luck 😭😭😭 But I have gotten two shiny Fletchlings, a shiny alpha Magicarp, a shiny Bellsprout; and my favorite of the group, a shiny Budew

The only missing factor is the teleport/cutscene hunting. That may be helpful if you want to get a shiny on zone 3 (the easiest one, since all you gotta do is go up and down on the stairs near the Alpha Littleo to reset the Pokémons around) and Lysandre Labs (the teleports also do reset the Pokémons around, going back and forth).

I once saw a shiny Pidgey and it flew sea when I attempted to catch it. Ever since then, it still haunts me to this day and I started catching any Pidgey I see.
