OK....Brief election talk. Skip, if you want to. 😉 I am horrified, disgusted, sad, angry, disappointed...I think all of us who voted FOR THE NON CRIMINAL, MOST COMPETENT, EXPERIENCED, SANE, COMPASSIONATE, EMPATHETIC, and yes, JOYFUL person in this election, have been through the seven stages of grief in two weeks. If anyone is reading this from another country, I don't know what to say, except, I'm sorry. We tried. Over SEVENTY MILLION of us tried. We tried talking to family and friends (I was horrified and surprised by some of their comments), volunteered, donated, stayed informed, voted....We tried. The percentage he won by is smaller than the percentage Hillary won by in 2016, but he won the Electoral College (please, don't ask me to explain it). This was NOT a landslide. This is NOT a mandate.
To everyone who voted for competence and sanity, yes, we are in serious trouble, authoritarian trouble....But, as angry, sad, and depressed as we have been, we have to get up, go out, and live our lives. Gain strength from millions of us. You are NOT alone. Spend time with family and friends, if you are still talking. 😉 Volunteer in your community. Talk to your neighbors, if you can. Help everyone in need. And, probably, most importantly, DO NOT LET THEM STEAL YOUR JOY! 🤗 Listen to music, dance, go for walks and hikes, watch Kacy videos, watch Kelly Clarkson....Whatever gives you joy. 😉 Remember, during WWII, England still held dances in dance halls. 💃 "Keep calm and carry on", as they said! We will, and MUST, rise again! I'm rooting for us!
